Default D17 compair to D16?

Anyone know if the deck height is the same on both the D16's and the D17's?

Just wondering if the Crank will fit into a D16Y8.

Reason: Have a D16Y8 block with a bad crank in it and might as well see if I cannot fit a D17 crank in there.......anyone been able to get there hands on one yet?

Hey Spade check out the dseries board, I could've sworn I heard someone talking about using the d17 crank as an oem stroker kit for the sohc's....

bad move cojack.
At least explain that.......

I am thinking that the bore is larger on the 17's and it isn't the crank.

Just use the whole d17 block. The rod length is almost garunteed to be a different length. I seriously doubt that Honda changed the bore size on the same engine design they've been using since '88.
