Default D16Z6 TPS Help!.!.!..

I broke my tps a few days ago, I got around to fixing it today. Went all over the place looking for a TPS for d16z6 i told them off a 92-95 Civic EX and no one has it even Honda said," I had to buy the complete throttle body to to get a new tps." So i just went to the junk yard and got on off a 94 honda pralude h22 they said it would work, got home put it on and tryed to go about adjusting it but no luck goes from like 0.243-0.328 thats from lowest to full idk if iam doing something wrong or if iam not checking the right wires or if i just got a bad or wrong tps..Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated..

How did the previous sensor break? The TPS needs to be set with the engine off and the key in the on position. Make sure that 5v is being supplied to the correct lead and that the negative wire is well grounded. With the sensor off of the TB and its electrical connector hooked up properly, set a meter to 20v, wedge the black probe in the battery negative terminal and pierce the signal wire with the red probe. The meter should show 0-.3v or so. It doesn't really matter. Gently turn the little plastic arm of the TPS all the way counterclockwise and the voltage should increase to nearly 5v. If it does, the sensor is fine.

To the OP: FYI the TPS is calibrated/set permanently from the factory, that is why the original bolts that hold it into place on the throttle body have no provisions to remove them. That is also why they do not sell them seperate from the throttle body at the dealer.

ok so supply power to tps in 4.56v but when i hook the tps up and try to adjust it at full clockwise rotation it get down to 1.28v thats as low as it gets and at full counter clockwise it gets to 2.28v and from the info i get on here its supposed to be at .45-.50 at cosed throttle and 4.5-5.0 at WOT...

Whats Wrong??

Either the method of testing, or the TPS its self. Try getting a whole throttle body with TPS, then you know it's calibrated correctly.
