i have a lilo baby vtec motor (d16z6) in my civic dx coupe.....with some lilo modification.....i see peeps out there pulling a 14.6-.15.0.......the fastest i every ran in the lilo motor is 14.6 with 80 shot on street tires and 15.5 with slicks w/out nos.....here's is a list of what i got:

dc 4-1 headers
aem cold air intake
aem cam sprockets
msd ignition setup

what am i missing from hitting that 14-sec barrior and suggestions or tips...thanks

 

for a heads up comparison my friend ran 15.08 not sure of the trap speed because it was like 2 years ago. he just had the most bone stock 93 white vx hatch with a d16z6 with stock header still and he ran that header out on street tires.

he later put 75 shot zex and on the street it would peel out THROUGH 3rd gear. we are pretty sure that it would have done 13.0 with slicks.

its just too bad that we had too much fun on the street with the laughing gas and tranny problems before we ever go to race it at the track
