Default D16Z6 need help

Just rebuilded my engine and when I went to started for the first time it just did a whooping sound, like if the battery did not have enought current to turn the crankshaft. Can you think of something that I did wrong.

Yes, and I even changed out batteries. The engine turns by hand but its kind of hard to turn.

Unplug the distributor and crank the motor over to get some oil pressure built up in the motor. Might just be that the cylinders are too dry.

I dont think the dizzy would make it hard to turn over..

Just to check it remove the dizzy and try to crank it over by hand.. If its still hard then its something else..

I asked you in a previous post, If you rebuild the motor did you plastigauge to check the clearances on the bearings..
