D16Z6 Distributor installation
I recently installed a distributor in a D16Z6 motor.. the distributor could only be installed one way, however the part that gets inserted into the head was a circle with two square posts on it. It could be inserted one way or 180 degrees the other. the car will not start now.. could we have installed it backwards?
I also understand that in a 4 stroke engine the spark plug only fires every other time the piston comes up.. is this correct? We checked to make sure the #1 piston was in the TDC position when the rotor in the dist. cap was at the #1 position. thanks for any help

Yes it is sllightly offset. Look closely at it. My buddy forced his one backwards by accident on his zc, luckily it didnt damage anything. Just recheck it.
