Default D16Z6 in a 4G Prelude

i wanna do a turbo setup in a prelude...
what are the possibilites of swapping in a d16?
is there an easier way to make power cheaper?

i know the prelude blocks cant hold boost very well so i thought this would be a good alternative...

are you serious? why would you want to decrease your displacement? especially into a heavier car. you need tq to pull the car which a 1.6L d16z6 has barely any. You would probably end up spending more money swapping the motor then builing up the motor. might as well build the h-series.

Swap in a H-motor. It's not work downgrading your car to a small d16z6. Why not consider putting in a H22/H23????

I agree, there is no practical purpose of putting a d series engine in a prelude. Especially a 4th gen which comes standard with the H series. If you have an H23, then consider an H22 swap, or the "H22 head on an H23 block" hybrid.

I am a D series fan myself, and I still agree with these guys. If you already have a bigger displacement motor don't swap it out.

to build a h22 (thats stock in the 4g, right?) for boost and turbo it, what does it generally cost?

4g Prelude has the F22, H23 and H22. All of them make for good boost-engines.

A full build on an H22 will usually run about 3-4k.
