whats the best way to do a swap w/o a cherry picker and do u really need one? im doing a direct swap out of my 94 ex due to a blown motor and was wondering how long this "project" is going to take me. thanks for all the help guys.

Why don't you want to use the cherry picker? You'll only spend like $20 at your local renting warehouse...

you could drop the engine-tranny assembly out the bottom only problem would be getting your car high enuff to slide it out..thats how i do it but with the car on a lift and the engine-tranny sittin on 2 jacks.

this is how i do em but i have the luxury of a lift as well....
undo everything,
drop it out the bottom on a dolly.
when i was doin them on my back, id hang the engine, then hang the tranny, but if you have an engine tilter, you can put them both in at the same time.
but if not, put the engine in then i use a tranny jack and put the tranny in. if that is with no help.

so i HAVE to take out the tranny too? i just need to put in the engine. see, i wasnt sure whether or not i needed to take out the tranny too. thanks for all the help guys.

i havent seen a way to do it with out taking the trans out but yes, there isnt enough room between the shock tower and the front cover to get the clutch out of the bell housing.

ok, cool. im gonna take out the tranny too so i can check everything out so that when i get the engine in and start driving it around, nothing goes wrong w/my tranny.
