d16y8 vtec solenoid
alright dig this, i bought the head the today and completly forgot to check if it had a solenoid on it
after comming home i checked it out and i infact do have it, however
the wire that comes from the top, does not have any sort of "big plug" at the end of it, only a thin metal strip that looks like it plugs into something else
also, at the bottom portion, where apperantly another "green" plug is supposed to come out, is not there, and all i have is a hole.
the car that this is going into does not have Vtec, what kind of wires/plugs would i need to get and where would i get them?
i dont have a camera
, i hope you peeps can understand.

The green plug is supposed to be for the pressure switch. If there is just a hole there then the switch might have been removed. There is also supposed to be a gray plastic plug that comes from the solenoid. You say there is just a thin piece of metal at the end of the wire. The plastic plug might have been broken. As for the pressure switch I have never heard of people removing them before they sell engines. I have also never heard of the switch going bad. BTW you can remove the four 10mm bolts that hold the entire assembly to the motor. After you have it off you should check the screens for contamination, it can give you a pretty good idea about how dirty the engine is.
any idea where i can get the replacement wires/plugs from? i dont want to go and dish out another 50-60 bucks for something i technicaly have...
yeah i'm planning on ripping this thing appart as soon as my dad brings the tools home.......

You might want to try calling around at junkyards. Ask them if they have any core VTEC motors. Tell them you need a couple electrical parts off of it. IIRC the pressure switch and solenoid are the same for all VTEC assemblies.
