Default D16Y8 intake manifold differences

i would love to know what are the differences of the Y8 manies, automatic versus manual. i know litte about SOHC VTEC motors, but i know that the Y8 intake mani is the preffered one to use in all D series motors. i planning to mate that to the A6 head, using OBD0 wiring and ECM. which one do i need? pictures would be great as well.
i am getting together all info regarding the cheap built-up on D series motor. LS rods, B series TB, Y8 intake. will port all myself, including my A6 head.
thanks, sorry babbled post, kind of tired, damn school

The only difference between auto and man. y8's is the 3 wire iac on the auto. Its on the TB. The manual has the normal 2 wire sensor on the manifold. You need the manual one. If someone has obd2 cx, dx they can use the auto y8 manifold with the stock ecu because they also have 3 wire iac's.

A6 heads suck balzacks. You want the y7 head. The valves are both 1mm bigger and it is otherwise a direct bolt on. The problem with 92-95 civic heads is the bolt pattern for the distributor is different. The y7 head has the same pattern as the a6, and has a smaller combustion chamber for higher compression. Use a1 pistons and compression will be even higher. Have fun.

You wouldn't happen to already have the Y8 intake manifold wouldja? Cuz I just *so happen* to have an extra one... throttle body, injectors, fuel rail, IAC solenoid, etc. and all... PM if interested!

- Pyro, who couldn't help but put in the shameless plug...
