Default d16y8

hey, I was just wondering if any one has the same problem with the main seal on the crank leaking oil on the d16y8? I just heard that was a common problem with this motor. Oh yeah, and how "fun" (hard) is it to replace.

easy if you've got an air wrench thing...Gotta be careful with the seal and make sure the inner lip doesn't get twisted and pushed outwards. I used a 32mm socket (consequently the same size as the civic axle nuts) and a hammer and tapped it in. Grease the inner side of it before you tap it in.
