i have a 92 civic with a d15b7, i cant seem to find the original engine and i found a d16y7 engine for a good price i know the tranny will line up i am just wondering about the computer.... will it make a difference having an obd 1 computer for a 1.5 vs having the obd 2 1.6.... the motor has already been converted to obd 1 i am just checking on the computer
any help would be nice

If you converted the harness everything should work fine

 

im running the same setup. y7 in a b7 hatch. all obd1 parts on the y7 and it runs just fine.

 

yeah thats what i thought but someone had mentioned something to about detonation since the computer was for a 1.5 enigne instead of the 1.6, but i figured it was only a .1 difference so i didnt think it would matter but figured i would research just to be safe
