D15 Distributor problem
I have a 92 Civic DX
that has an all mighty D15 SOHC noTEC motor in it and about a month ago the distributor starting making this grinding/scratching sound. When I opened it up everything looked rusty inside and metal shavings were found. I replaced the cap and rotor inside with ones from Kragen and it fixed the problem for a while. The problem has been coming back recently and my car dies out like every 5-10 minutes whenever I'm stopped. Everytime I look inside the distributor, I see metal shavings. Is it time for a new distributor?
I only have 54k on the whole car.
