Default d series transmission problems. please help.

i have been having trouble with my tranny. lately it has been kicking out of gear in 2nd and only 2nd. the only time it pops out is if i am coasting or just light on the gas. when it pops out and i let up off the gas sometimes it goes back into gear but pops right back out when i step on the gas. but if i am at half throttle, it stays in gear. it only pops out at light throttle. i havent changed the transmission fluid yet. i have talked to a few people and they think that it is something else. can anyone help me out?

Could be a bent shift fork.

They are replaceable if you think you can tear down the tranny and re assemble it.
Me and 1 friend tore down/built up a cable tranny because it needed to be reshimmed in half a day. But we were in a garage with air tools and a lift.

shift forks are bent if it wont stay in gear without your hand holding it in.
