i was looking but still not sure or just cant understand... im wondering if the cable d series parts such as clutch fork, clutch disk and plate and flywheel will fit a d series hydro tranny... everything i found seems to be talking about the gears... info on this would really help cause my friend has some parts for me to grab to finish my conversion if so.. thanks all

 

The clutch fork won't, but the '89+ clutches will.

 

what about the flywheel??

 

if it's 90+ it will work.


1988 cable trans have the same spline as the 1984-1987 trans

1989 they updated the spline count, to the same that is used from 89-2005


in 90 they increased the diameter of the clutch disk.


1988-1989 flywheel + pressure plates are the same
1988 clutch is unique

1990+ will work fine
