Default D series swap?

i have a 92 civic dx standard, engine code d15y7. And i was wondering if i could put in a 96 civic dx, engine code d16y7 with out many modifications. thanks

yes!, basically just use the Y7 head and block with all your D15B7 boltons. (exhaust and intake manifolds, distributor, so on and so on. )

BTW, D15B7 on the 92 dx motor.

why?
you are going from 102hp to 105? thats not even worth the trouble ESPICALLY because no engine makes the exact number of the factory rated HP. there is a 5hp margin for error, minimum.

thats a waste of time.

Yes it's possible. It will go right in, but you will need to re-use your OBD1 injectors and distributor. Along with use the factory P06 ECU to remain OBD1.
