what im looking at is the bolt holes under the oil filters, on the b2 there is only 1 and on the a6 there are 3. those holes are for the axle mount, to support the half shaft on the backside of the motor. the a6 came out of my car, whats everyones opinions on the safty regarding the axle pivoting or something with 2 less bolts in the bracket. thanks for any help.

i was also wondering if this style axle mount is specific to my car (91 wagon) or that it is specific to the a6.
