Umm I bought a PM3-6 head for my 1993 Civic DX 3 Door Automatic D15B7 and I am having ignition timing problems. My valve timing looks correct but my ignition timing needs more advancing and my distributor is at it's limit. Any help would be apreciated. The only thing I have not replaced on my engine is the igniter, coil, and spark plug wires. Do I need a PM6 head? Witch is the exact head that I need? I have set my valve timing retarded one tooth with good results for ignition timing but pour results for perfomance so I set it back to correct valve timing. My vacume reading says late ignition timing. This is frustrating but I know I will fix it soon. I need the car for college. Any ideas master techs hehe.

93 EG4(EDM) D15B2 5sp-------PM3-8 (9/4) stamp

or you could take off the valve cover and if it doesn't have the lost motion assembly on top of the valves then its a non v-tec or not v-tec anymore

uhm I have a 93 jdm SOHC ZC Vtec with a PO8-1 head.

quick question. if the d16z6 and d15b are both PO8 and both have the same combustion chamber volume (38cc)

why does the ZC PO8 which I have heard to be the same head have a combustion chamber volume of 43.8 cc

I didn't find these numbers myself I sourced them from http://www.zealautowerks.com/dseries.html

My friend also has a eg with a d15b block and the head has PM3-16 (9/5) code and the port blocked off on the back left of the head but i was told it was for a mechanical fuel pump though and not the vtec solenoid. Does any one know if the code PM3-16 (9/5) is a JDM/EDM d15b?

Another Re-visit.. I am curious because i just got an obd1 JDM d15B vtec 5spd, and i found a bunch of crap the kid lied about, like broken mount bracket bolts in the block, two broken valve cover bolts in the head, so its at the machine shop. The machinist pulled out a book with valve/piston clearance specs and i noticed the d16z6 head code is p08-2, and my head is stamped p08-2(9/1). Now im wondering did this kid lie about it being a "jdmD15B".. Although i have heard d15b head codes being p08-1 (auto), p08, and even p28...
