Is a cylinder brace worth while? For instance, let's say I'm replaceing the head gasket on my mildly boosted (read: 10psi) turbo car would it be worth the money to spend the $80 on a brace just to drop in as extra insurance or is this just asking for problems down the road?

 

Also take into consideration a hone after dropping that in, so add some buxx.

 

I've talked to guys that needed a fresh hone after they improperly put in their blockgaurd.

 

Wait, wait wait! I'm not taking the whole engine out, I'm just poping off the head It can't be honed with the rotating asymbly in place or with the engine still in the car. I think I'll just seach for block guard...thanks though

block guards are overrated. no need for them.
