CV JOINT I Need Help
ok i think my cv joint is done....i had an 18 icnh rim on the left side front and a stock one on the right for about 4 days bc on my right wheel i had 3 crossthreaded lugnuts, it started making a knocking sound then wonce i got my other rims on it stopped. But, now, my steering wheel shakes when i go over like 40 mph, and sometims that joint squeeks (not real loud), what is the worst possible scenario i am looking at to get this fixed? I Have a 93 Prelude S.
say it all need replaced, control arm and all, how much i lookin at.. im goin show playa unless i get my auto switched to manual, how much u think it would cost to get a manual swap...(i think my transmission is goin bad ne way so i might need a new tranny ne way, might as well do a manual...even if it isnt a new tranny.....
Control arm?
I'm pretty sure you don't need to replace the control arm...
Replacing CV joints is basically a matter of getting a set of new/rebuilt axles, draining your tranny and swapping the old axles out for the new ones.
