Default to cut or not to cut bumpstops

i recently purchased some kyb agx's to go with my h&r sports. i used the bumpstops form my stock suspension and was wondering if i should cut them or leave them stock. i remember someone saying to cut them to get that extra suspension travel. someone please let me know if leaving them stock will somehow damage my shocks or do i need to cut them.

Your springs should have come with a manufacturers recommendation on whether to cut them or not. But really it depends on the drop of the springs. If you do cut them, only do half or less.

I cut a couple of cm's off mine, if your shocks come with those plastic split washers make sure you use them.
