Default ctr pistons with jun cams????

Has anyone done this? Will there be clearance issues? I have the cams and I'm thinking about getting the ctr pistons. I already had a set of itr's but I want more compression ( in a gsr head).

If you are going daily driven, do not use CTR pistons with the GSR head. You will have a high probability of having detonation. You may have to run race gas. Just get the ITR pisons, and call it good. Your car will thank you for it.

BTW there wont be any clearance issues if the head has not been milled, or if the block has not been decked.

Hey I have the ctr pistons in a 95 gsr motor w/gsr head. I have no problems running on 92 octane!! I have all the basic bolt ons and that is it.
I had the same question about clearance though. In my opinion, I think it will be fine. Were I think you will run into clearance problems is with cam gears( retarding, or advancing the cams). So let me know if you run some cams on top of ctr's. I would like to know. As far as detonation, take it from someone that has done the ctr's.
thanks

i know quite a few people running this combo and its fine
no clearance probs
clay it if youre not sure
as for compression
remember i think the duration is approximately 306 degrees
and 12.0 lift correct me if im wrong on that
but, long duration high lift cams bleed off alot of compression so its not really going to be 12.5 or whatever it might be
