i have ctr pistons in my gsr engine and let me tell you......ITS A PAIN IN THE ***
you gotta get your shortblock honed at the shop $80, new piston rings ~$160 oem gsr rings, installation (if you duno how to do it yourself) $200 bucks, not to mention if you pull out your head from your block you have to get a new head gasket $100...
so your ctr pistons (i duno how much they are..200?) plus 280 for labor for hone and install, 160 for rings, 100 for gasket sooooo
750 bucks? for 1 or 2 points more compression? plus you know how much it is if you have to change your rings in the future at the shop???????? $800 FREAKIN BUCKS (NOT INCLUDING THE RINGS!)
if youre an na junkie do it if you love it that much but if i were you id do yourself a favor..buy your loved ones some presents and flip your car off..
im going to run 13:1 compression btw...not very safe...

It can be a potent setup, but PCT's in a P72 block with either VTEC head yields stupid high compression that, without tuning, can cause detonation on 93 octane pump gas.

If you're looking for more compression, consider a set of high compression valves and a thinner headgasket.
