i'm trying to build a decent all motor b16a. only problem i've ran into is locating piston rings. the pistons i'm using are ctr .025 ob pistons. i've pretty much looked everywhere and found nothing short of like a couple hundred dollar piston ring sets. anyone have any ideas on where i might find these things.
also what (if any) are the differences between b18a/b rings and b18c rings, other than one's being for a vtec motor and the other for a non-vtec motor?

 

Ctr,b16a b18a,b,c are all the same size ring set.Hastings 2C4666 +.025 is their part number.Nippon rings also work well.Either set is around $50-$60 plus shipping. http://www.jisengine.com/list-....html http://www.napaonline.com/cgi-...rings . The perfect circle are a good set also.

yeah, actually if ur not too picky about where ur rings come from, advance auto sells overbore piston rings for b series engines. only problem is they're a special order part and they'll usually take a couple of weeks to get them.

 

Do your self a favor...
Order oem .25 over rings...
