CTR N1 pulley
I did a search here and just read an article on solid crank pulley's like the CTR N1 and the normal style crank harmonic balancers. It stated how the actual balancer absorbs the harmonics of the motor to a point and the solid style pulley can not serve this purpose. Makes complete sense.
My question was. Given how the CTR N1 pulley is mated and held on the crank shaft and that it does not dampen against the engines harmoics would there not be a point in the rpm where the pulley would lose (not sure what the right word is) Integrity??, start to vibrate or wobble?? in the area's of contact with the crank and keyway's? What kind of RPM could you turn one of these pulley's?? I suppose they must have seen fairly high sustained RPM when used on the CTR's
The article just kinda got me curious. Maybe I am in left field LOL

Thats an understandable point made. But honestly there's so many myths about the CTR crank...harmonic balancer, etc. Kinda reminds me of the whole short shifter ruining trannys.
I had a CTR n1 crank pulley for over 20k miles, not a single problem related to it. Maybe sometime it will cause bearing damage, but chances are you wont own the car/engine long enough to see this.
