Default Cryro treating the rings?

I have to get new rings to complete my rebuild on my b16, and I saw on deepfreezecryo.com that they can garuntee a 150% increase in treated parts life-span. This is excellent news. Has anyone treated the rings of thier daily driven car, or heard of anyone who has (who isnt trying to sell me something)? Its only 15 bucks, so its no big loss in monetary value, but it takes a while for the process to go full circle.

Swain is the ****!!!! I have not used products with thier coating myself but my Dad has with tramendous success. I would not hesitate to run any of their coating infact I plan to us some of them on my next motor build up. As for ring my machinest told ne what he does and it sound good. They start with factory honda ring then send them to total seal and they do something to them. Apparently this makes it a gapless ring but maintains the long life of of a honda ring with all the benefits of a total seal. I dont have any personal experience with these as well but my machinest says that they have had nothing but success. A buddy of mine just installed a set on his motor and every thing is fine so far but the motor has just been brocken in, so far there is no sign of it puffing any blue smoke and its already running 15 pounds of boost.

I beleive the poly-moly is going to run 20 per skirt (top of the head figure) and the cryo treating is only about 15 bucks total. I beleive you can treat your bearings for about 10 bucks a set. Its too cheap to pass up if it isnt going to cause any problems.

I've had good luck with the skirt coatings and also the heat barrier coating on the top of the pistons. The bearing coating on the other hand is a trade off.The bearings stay in better shape, but the crank journals don't look as good. The bearings in Hondas holdup for so many miles I would leave them alone. The cryo stuff seamed like black magic at first, but I've never seen a down side and I'm using it more with good results.Calico coatings in NC is a nother very good source.

Alright. I think ill send the pistons off to get a coating on the skirt. I want as tight of seal as I can get.
