Default CRX Surge

what up ht. I have a 91 CRX Si which i finished my swap on. its an ls/v with P30 pistons and an OBD1 conversion. I have everything pretty much all set accept for VTEC and a minor problem accelerating. in any gear, which moving from a stop or changing gears 1k-3k the car will buck back and forth, I have to stay on the clutch and hold the idle past 3k to get it to drive smooth. it has a cable B16 trans not sure if it makes a differece. any suggestions???

If so get a bottle of brake cleaner, carb cleaner, chocke cleaner, maf cleaner and spray it around manifold vaccum lines it idle changes were you spray it then you hae a leak but ive never seen a honda/acura with vaccum leaks causing idle surge. usually the rpms shoot up.

ive fixed it a few times on a couple differant cars, not just hondas, just figured it was a free thing to look at. but ive worked on some pretty nasty piles and seen some pretty f'd up things. best to go back to basics sometimes

but on the other had i have a pile of iac's and its only a min to change in out in a pinch to find out
