My friend just swapped a D16Z6 in his 89 CRX DX, with the MPFI swap. It cranked up the first time, idles great, at 600rpm, and here's where the problem starts. When you give it gas, it gets to about 1500rpms and won't go any farther, just stops increasing....we thought it was the fuel pump....so we got that fixed, and it does the same thing....changed the Fuel Pressure regulator, and it didn't change.

Please help us out on this.

when you swapped what wires did you add. what check engine codes are flashing.
