Default crvtec question

my friedn is thinking of putting this in his crx, crv block and type r head, the dude at the shop is saying 240 hp to the ground.....is this true? can this be true> it just dosent add up to me

IT REALLY DEPENDS WHAT MODS. Street legal no, if its all motor. turbo all day. But not stock.

impossible just bolting the two together.

u have to get extensive head work and build the block with higher compression pistons....he's dreaming...i'd rather get that block and turbo it.

but i like the crvtec, its a cheap way to get torque

my friend (a mechanic) did alot of the work himself. gsr head onto a b20z. forged pistons and rods. rebuilt everything. i think 12:1 compression. cams, springs, retainers, cam gears, spent xtra large cash. he dynoed @ 210 to the wheel. went 12.40's with interior in a hatch. 12.20's without interior. i know he could have gotten crazier and run race fuel only, but even 250 to the crank is alot. 250 to the wheel.....no way/never gonna happen.
