Well, I've run my crower springs/ Ti retainers on my y8 for approx. 2 years with no issues...retainer wear is not existent, which most likely has to do with their proprietary Titanium compound that is way resistant to wear vs. other out there...

Are you claiming this in regards to Crower springs or high tension valve springs in general? Either way, what type of conditions did you see this occur (motor setup/ frequency of use/ type of use) and also, what sort of time frame? What type of rate loss did you see?

Crower spring pressure dropped after probably 12 dyno pulls and 7 hard passes. I was going to have oversized valves installed, so I had them tested. They were way too soft. I don't recall exact #'s offhand, but I think I have it written down somewhere. I switched to supertech now.

How much HP were you making? Just curious, since Crower 68186 is a lower pressure spring set made by Eibach that I am extremely familiar with under the Eibach EVS part number 20401.216; that kit is meant for much milder apps than the high pressure Crower 68188 kit-

nice numbers BTW

Thanks. I was still running stock valves, so I didn't want a spring with that much pressure(like the 68188). I thought the 68186 to be a happy medium. 425 whp was the goal, not too extreme. I've looked for the paper that the #'s were recorded on but I can't find it anywhere; but the seat pressure had dropped a lot. they were definitely not safe for the new setup, which will hopefully make 600+.

the opposite seems to be true for the h22 offerings from crower- the eibach set is of a higher rate than the regular issue crower set...
