Cross-model cross-generational part compatability
I have, at my disposal, a 1994 civic lx with a full b18c swap purchased from hmotorsonline, lowered on tien coils in the front and tien springs in the back with a rear disc conversion.
I also have a 91 crx as my project with the factory engine and bad bearings in the back.
What I want to know is how much I can pull from this civic that will bolt into my CRX without too much modification.
I know I can pull the b18, transmission, harness, mounts, and ecu and pretty much just drop them in if I remove the hood on the CRX. I don't know if I can take the wheel hubs, the rear discs, or any of the suspension components. Personal experience and advice are welcome.
And no, before it is suggested, I don't want to keep the civic the way it is. I've had a b18c1 civic. I want a b18 crx.

Re: Cross-model cross-generational part compatability
According to a conversation I'm having on crxcommunity, a b-swap into a crx would require special aftermarket mounts and shift linkages, so it wouldn't be as easy of a swap as I originally anticipated. I may be better off leaving the b18 in the civic and just doing a turbo D in the rex...
