Default crazy tachometer

hey everyone, my tach works fine until i hit 6000 rpms then it falls to zero. The car runs fine and the engine still revs but the tach goes to zero. After i let it rev down. It will jump back to 6 grand and go down from there. So basically it doesnt work after 6 grand. Any suggestions? Anyone have this problem?

Try checking all of your ground wires for starters, then your fuses. when all else fails try your friend's cluster... =P

Good luck

well check the wire, if you using wire taps, there is a possiblity that the wires didn't cut through all the way, its somewhere in ur wiring
