Default crappy start up on b16

ive got a 1st gen b16 in my crx with a type r mani... when i start up when cold its hard to rev up and almost wants to die... when you you rev it just stumbles... what the hell is the problem,, i think something with my injectors.....somethings fishy..

it only does it if the car has been off for a few hours...... runs fine after it warms
up though

Its most likely because you have the type-r i/m. Using that intake manifold elimates the Fast idle thermal valve (FITV), which aids the engine in a cold startup, so without it you run a bit rougher on a cold startup. Which is why it runs fine after it warms up.

I have the same deal with my 1st gen b16, just let it warm up a bit before you drive it.

would the same thing happen if u disconected the coolent lines going to your tb to run cooler? i hear that diy trick gains a fiew hp but only to run it in warm conditions this must be why.

I don't think that will cause the same problem. I have my coolant lines hooked up to t/b and have the problem b/c my FITV is removed, only takes like a minute to warm up and everything is fine.
