I dissassembled my engine and found a "divot" in my crank. Decent sized- like 1/4" around and probabe 1/8" at the deepest part. The odd part was the bearings were in fine shape and there was no damage anywhere else. In any case this divot needs to be filled- what should I require of the machine shop? Magnafluxing? Heat treating?Any type of coating applied? I asked them to do all the measurements that were in the helms for the crank.
