Default Re: crank sensor problems

Are you talking about the "Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation Sensor", a 3wire on the civic engine and a 2 wire on the LS engine

98Civic...

White to white/red-------- CKFM pin on PCM , [ECU/ECM/PCM]
Light blue to blue/orange--CKFP pin on PCM
Black to brown/black------- chassis ground

96LS...

White to red/white---------CKFM pin on ECM [ECU/ECM/PCM]
Blue to blue/red------------CKFP pin on ECM

So looks like the only diff. is the LS engines CSFS does not have the chassis ground and a diff. in color of the CKFP lead and the Civics computer is called a "Powertrain Control Module" and the Integra computer is called an "Engine Control Module". 94

Connect the two that are needed and see what happens, the ground is just a ground, the diff. may be that the LS sensor grounds through chassis and the Civic did not. 94
