Default Crank pulley removal

Anyone know a trick for removing the pulley without the Honda special tool? I know Moroso makes one also but if possible I'm looking for cheaper than that.

If anyone could tell me the diameter of the hexagon so that I could build one myself that would be great also (I would go measure it myself but unfortunately my garage is located some considerable distance from my home and I just had the idea now)

here's the cheapest place http://www.thetoolwarehouse.net part # SP 60100 for $43.50 plus s&h. easier way and less hassle then building one yourself and wasting the time doing it. I'd rather get the tool and get the job done, then screw around building a mickey mouse ghetto tool. just my .02

Anybody know if this works on 88-91's? Looks like it wont bc the bolt is recessed on our pulleys bc of the p/s and a/c. Anybody?

The tool doesnt work on the 88-91. I just use the IR 2135Ti 1\2 impact gun with a .5" air hose. Its good for 1000 lb\ft. and works everytime.

Put car in gear and have a buddy stand on the brakes, lock the flywheel with a screwdriver, bolt a piece of scrap metal to the back of the flywheel and to one of the holes for the clutch cover, have an engineer friend design a tool like the Moroso one in AutoCAD and make a bunch then get him to give you one (that's what I did).

I am currently doing the same thing on my D-series engine - although mine has the recessed bolt in the middle of the pulley. I am pretty sure that the bolt size it 17mm. You could possibly borrow the wrench from a local parts store- it comes in 2 parts I believe, one to hold the pulley and one to take off the bolt.
