crank oil seal replacement
Is there a way to install these seals without having the Honda seal driver tools? Can the old seals be removed without taking the crank out?

To replace these seals you could just get a pin punch and basically punch a hole in the seal beween the crank and the block and pry it out, To install the seal, coat the inside of the sealing surface with generous coating of vaseline or a good thick engine lube and slide it over the crank and carefully tap it into place with flat piece of wood or something and a hammer so you dont damage the metal surround. just make sure that you tap it in a little at a time on all sides so it does not go in crooked and make sure that it is flush with the block when you are done and no farther.
i replaced the ones on my mini me @ 180000.... bc i rebuild the engine..... anyways. they were still good..... the life its good.. i wouldnt change it until i know they leak... just pry it out with a screcdriver, but dont damage the block walls where the seal sits.... just put it in with something round like a can, bnbig socket stuff like that so it goes in smootly and even, and dont foget the vaseline..... use the wood part of hammer so u dont **** anything up////
unless you are going for a total rebuild or some serious engine work, leave them alone if they are not leaking then do not worry about it.
I have various engines ranging from 143,000 to 196,000 that never leaked from a oil seal (front or rear) my current car, a 1994 LX with 89,500 miles is not leaking a drop of oil. (knock on wood)
BTW most engine oil leak sealers are a joke. if a seal is leaking replace it.
