CP Pistons?
I got a complete lower end form a buddy for free, he said he got it all installed and the rings blew or were blown. The interesting part is he said that the guy that he got the block from put in a set of used(yes used lol) CP Pistons and new rings. When my friend dropped off the block all the pistons are stamped P30 which to my knowledge CP's are not stamped and P30 is the stock honda stamping. Can anyone tell me if CP made pistons with a P30 stamping or are these stock pistons like I think they are???
my CP pistons i have for my K motor doesnt have anykind of stamping on the top..just really shinny...i cant remember if there was any stampin on the bottom of them..
if it says p30 on the top then i would say its a stock honda piston

i had an old set of cp's also with no stamping of any kind...you should be able to tell by the finish if theyre stock pistons or forged. the cp's will have defined lines for valve reliefs and compression +/-, and the stockers will be more of a rounded dull edging.
Had 2 sets of CP's never seen a P30 on them.
Here's a Wiseco but the CP's look pretty much like this.

well, if you got it for free, its not really scamming...except sounds like ur buddy got scammed. p30's are jdm b16 pistons, right? they should have a shallow dome on them.
