So I'm gonna ask you guys for help.

3 weeks ago I had my clutch replaced.The guys did a crappy job and left the ground for the tranny off,Broke the boot for the clutch release on the front of the tranny.
It ran good for a week and then while I was on the highway it started popping out of fifth,and if I put it back it pops out in seconds.All the other gears were ok.I brought it to jiffy lube and they said they changed my tranny fluid.I believed them because after that my car ran for another week without popping out of fifth.Today it popped out of fifth.
I have one hope.I hope:

1)They just topped off my tranny fluid and the fluid in there is still no good.
2)It's definately not Honda tranny fluid probably oil.
3)They didnt put enough fluid.

Any other reasons why this wouold happen?Anyone have this problem?Also my tach went on the fritz for 2 days and now is back.

Syncros are bad........not common for 5th gear though but, you asked what other possibilities.

 

Do you think its possibly that it wasnt re installed correctly?I might be crazy but I feel a clunk I never felt before they did the work.

 

syncros I almost guarantee it, if 5th keeps slipping, then most likely your 5th and 4th syncros are f'ed. call that sob that did it, and tell him what's going on..
