Default Could this work?

Ok I had this idea, but I'm not sure it would work. I have a 91 civic witha Y8 going in. Well I had to buy a new crank pulley cause I didn't have one for it. Well this one came with the extra space for the power steering which i don't have.

SO here is the idea. How hard would it be to rig up a device that the belt goes around the pulley and turns a turbine type device (maybe a modified intake side of a turbo). Also how productive would this be?

Sounds like a supercharger doesn't it?

Haha I know that. Sorry I should have been more clear. I mean would the power steering slot on the crank pulley spin the turbine fast enough to create boost. Again sorry for the bad wording.

I don't really think it would matter if the turbine is where the power steering would be. Whether this device is where the power steering would be, or back by the intake manifold where superchargers are, it's still run off of the same source, the crankshaft pulley. Regardless of where this device is, it's going to have the same rotational speed applied to it from the same source.

Yeah...it's straight up a supercharger. Nothing revolutionary. The power steering pulley shouldn't be a problem, it's a matter of supercharger design and the ratio of the supercharger pulley and the crankshaft pulley. I think the Jackson Racing supercharger runs off the alternator pulley...
