There's a guy in my town parting out his '01 Si after a bad experience with nitrous. Anyway, the entire D17 is apart, and I was wondering if anyone has tried to swap the crankshaft into an older D16? A very cost effective 'stroker-kit', if you will.

I think he wants to sell everything together, but if he's willing to sell the crank separately, is it worth it trying to install it in a D16 of some kind? Would I need the D17 rods? Pistons? Anyone?...
