What do you mean by wrap??? I'm also just curious why you wanna take wires out of your engine bay... I assume you have some that are not needed?? A little more info will let us help you more... Latez

Split loom is fine around your wires. I use it for additional chafing protection on my detroit iron. Almost every wire has gotten an extra foot or so from me that the factory did not think was necessary, but I do. It was a necessity on my coil wire where it rested against the air filter, if I wanted it to last past 12 months.

Oh my bad, I didn't realize that you were talking about "loom", I always use that stuff when I rewire harnesses... I just finished converting my friend's nonOBD engine loom to for his 2000 GSR... Added in the 4 pin heated oxygen sensor female connector, and the OBD2 distributor and injector connectors... Now I just get to see today if my OBD1-nonOBD harness convertor works... hehehe

I originally converted this 88 Rex DX harness to MPI about a year ago, then my friend got a B18C bottom end so I rewired it a bit and moved ECTSW on the thermostat housing etc.... Basically did the same thing tho, all the loom came off and new **** went back on... Hopefully this will be the last time I have to convert, but I'm always changing my wiring style

With the OBD2 connectors all wired in ready to be loomed

And last but not least all complete, I just finished it yesterday (2/2/2003) so we'll see if it all works today... hehe Wouldn't that SUCK if it didn't
Peace

It's not goin got affect anything electrically but I would worry about it heat wise... Most of the loom on a wire harness is tucked away from the heat... You're engine bay temp is most likey a bit hotter than stock but I'm sure it would still be okay.... Spraypaint the wires... hehehe j/k... Latez
