Default Cooling Problem

So my cooling problem isn't that it overheats, it actually overcools if that makes sense. This is the temperature whenever i am driving down the freeway. This usually happens if i am in 5th gear and not pushing on the gas. It does have thermostat and this picture was taken after driving for 2 hours. I have a D15b vtech engine with stock everything. no a/c and no P/S. The temperature goes up in the streets but once i got on the freeway it went down.

So it has a t-stat, but is the t-stat actually working? Sounds like it failed in the open position to me.

They only affect in performance is that it runs better. my idle is smoother and acceleration feels better but it could just be me. I thought the thermostat was stuck open too but it stays at operating temp during city driving, cold temperature and uphill driving.

it still sounds like a thermostat issue. is it an oem honda piece? most local parts stores sell various temp t-stats you may have one thats too cool. so it opens below normal operating temp.

Holy crap! After driving it and watching the needle go down, i pulled over, popped my hood and my engine and radiator and hoses were warm to touch!!! The only hot part was the exhaust. I think my engine wants a turbo
