Default coolant lines

What causes the return coolant line to get sucked almost completely closed. I have it wrapped in a SST wrap and the return is pretty long on a 96 prelude. Could have heat in the engine bay caused it? I know it is super hot under the hood since the addition of the turbo.

Checked the cap at a Buddy's shop, cap was good. Soafter work last night I pulled all the coolant lines. Replaced the bottom line that was collapsed. Figured I'll check the thermostat and there it was. The shaft of the stat was tweeked a little and holding it in the closed position. I think this will fix the ol'gal rite up with a quick replacement.

Oh, was ONLY the bottom hose collapsed? I did not see that mentioned. My bad.
