Default Constant CEL with no code?????

So heres the deal ive been driving my car for about a week now and it had been running fine mild built gsr, Hondata s200 p28, but yesterday the cel came on and it wouldnt rev over 4k and its idleing at 2k(I dont think that has anything to do with my question but anywyas) and when I jump the service connector it doesnt blink at all, i threw in my stock cx ecu and the cel doesnt come on with that one at all, so I have no idea whats going on, has my ecu went bad?

constant cell is usually a symptom of a bad ecu, try another ecu.

what he said

i ran my car soo messed up for so long, that it threw a bad ECU code, and i swapped ecu's fixed most of the problem, and put the ecu that was supposedly "bad" back in and it runs fine.

but a constat CEL is bad ECU

He's running Hondata though, so it could have other issues. Is the led in the interface box on solid or is it blinking?

It should be on solid. I had 2 problems that caused it to blink: The first was the wrong version .bin burned on the chip and the other was a bad connection of the interface cable.

Doesn't that jumper tell it which chip to run off of?

Yea I did that to see if my ECU was bad but its not, and I double triple checked my cable and its good, so I guess my chips bad, but how does a chip just go bad?

You might find an answer on hondatas forum.

The Hondata forums arent helping me too much

I resoldered the connections; the Hondata eprom chip, 4 pin, and the SN74HC373N chip, but its still doing the same thing, what else could it be? I never took the chip out, so if it is the chip, then the chip just went bad while I was driving...

I got the same problem on a DA. Won't rev past 3k but runs normal otherwise. It's like the rev limiter is at 3k now.
