Default connected battery wrong way round.

i accidently connected my battery the wrong way round and tried to start the car the car , starter motor made a wurring noise (spinning backwards?) . now that i noticed the problem the car starts on the second click of igniton and runs with the starter motor stuck in flywheel.

anyone know what i should check first ?

Check all fuses as it is not uncommon for fuseable links to blow when you do that.
