Looking for anyone who has had negative experiences with this line of
cams. I have recently heard about a breakage issue with a set in an H22 (thanks for the info Natalie)
Anyone have problems with this on the stage 1 grind for the B series motor?
Are there any recorded stories concerning negative effects with running these cams? I will preform a search considering this is a new line I am curious. Now that there are a good number of sets out there, some road reports should be ready to come in.
whats the word on long term usage peeps?

I have a Set of Skunk2 Cams Stage 1 I purchased a couple of years ago....and I have about 70k+ Miles on them.....I recently burnt a valve at 190k miles....and did a major overhaul....but when I checked the cams....they still look good. But I am running synthetic 10w-30 Mobil one on them so I know that helps them last long.

i am throwing in a set of Skunk2 stage 1 cams this week and will be dyno tuning cam gears, VAFC, ignition timing in the next couple of weeks. Looking to get 190+whp. I have researched these a lot and it seems that for the money they are great cams to have which is why i bought them. I am in college and on a budget!

I've never heard anything but good things about the Skunk2 stage 1 cams. I'm considering swapping my toda b's for those cams. What would you guys recommend for 11.67:01 compression and why? Toda B's or SK2 Stage 1's?

in my mind it would be all about where in the rev band you want power. the Bs have more lift...
Toda Spec B 12 mm,duration - 255 @ 1mm 12 mm, duration - 245 @ 1mm
Skunk 2 stage1 11.58 mm, duration 252 @ 1mm 10.9 mm, duration 249 @ 1mm
on the duration side the skunks breathe more on the exhaust side... 3 deg less on the intake side but roughly the same degrees of overlap. I know the todas also manipulate the low cam lobes whereas thes skunks do not until the stage 2 cam. Skunk's low lobes are near identical to the pri and sec of the CTR/ITR I believe, making them easier to drop in and run/tune. The todas will definately take some time tuning the idle, low cam maps, etc. For 11.6:1 both cams seem to be no brainers... even stock ITR cams with that compression would scream well above 9K... the skunks from an ease of use and price factor would be my cam of choice

I have seen both the 1s and 2s side by side and you can see the 2s have larger lobes all around, main diff is the pri and sec are much larger than stock.
