yes im a newb, my question here is this. i have an ls vtec, 93bottom 2000 head with low miles. my vtec pop quietly but i feel the pull and the power feels smooth. it does not go slow and pop and then quickly accelorate like my friends car. is it suposed to be smooth?

 

smooth is good. some people get that certain pull when vtec kicks in because of poor tuning.

 

Is your friends car the same set-up as yours? Vtec that I know of never kicks in smooth, you'll definitely know when it engages.
