comptech icebox compatability

comptech icebox compatability
The Comptech website states that you have to buy the intake and icebox, but has anybody used just the icebox with stock intake tube? or a AEM short pipe?
Also, what are some thoughts on the Comptech exhaust??? Someone please post pictures
