hahaha intakes really dont add horsepower. I guarantee you will gain more horsepower on a honda from an intake than any other exhaust or header. You obviously have no clue what you are talking about and should read my signature.

All depends on what type of vehicle you have. What type of car do yo have and I can supply you with some pretty accurate numbers for all the setups.

I would say intakes produce around 1-2HP from cooler air(denser) and maybe 1-2ft/lbs of torque from a CAI. If you've got a mean engine though the numbers will increase slightly. But from stock you won't get much from an intake but I guess every little bit counts.

Personally I'd stay away from short ram intakes. They have the tendancy to just draw in heat from the engine bay. That is unless you have it in some sort of box so it only takes air from the bumper intake tubes.

And stock....well that is just...stock. It makes whatever your car is at when it is...stock.

Once again a person who doesn't know what he is talking about. 1-2 horsepower over stock. hahaha

i'd like to see some dyno's of only an intake, and not ones of manufacturer's websites please

ps - and if you have every bolton (i/h/e) on a stock car, you might, might get 10whp on a honda, but i wouldnt count on it

There are a bunch on this page, which is a bitch to find. Everytime I want to reference it I spend 20 minutes looking for it, partly because it keeps moving. A few of the links are broken but there are a few.

Here's a 99 with an AEM intake:

The ebb and flow of the rider tide is strong. 3 years ago CAI's were the rage, and nearly everyone was shouting from the rooftops how great they were. Now, the tide has turned and we have the opposite. Which one is correct? Who knows but I've given you a dyno graph that proves otherwise. Now go dig one up that refutes that.

Cheers,
Roy

thumbs or rules

colder air is denser that's gonna monitored by the IAT and trigger more fuel by the computer.

The last thing we need is cai vs short ram intake post
