Default cold air extension

has anyone here purchased an injen intake system and then gone on and purchased a cold air extension for the intake. On sunriseracing.com they state..

"Injen intakes offer some of the best performing intakes available today at very affordable prices. They are mandrel bent piping with a K&N filter and are available in popular colors for that show car look. For the best power gains, add a cold air extension!"

wondering if the extension does actually work. thanks.
